Guest guest
I made some crackers for my class's party (I teach English as a Second Language). I just got sick and tired of hearing all these foreigners saying that Americans only eat hamburgers, so I decided that I would bring in some crackers and Tommie's wonderful " cheddar cheese " . When I got down to making the crackers, I didn't have everything to make any of the recipes I had, so I just decided to wing it. I had about a quart of wheat sprouts that were threatening to go bad, so I threw them in the mix with 2 cups of ground flax seed and about a cup of carrot pulp. Anyway, when the time came, and my students asked me what *that* was, I told them it was " hamburgers " ! (because they always say we only eat hamburgers! Finally, they broke me down, and I told them that it was all raw food. I explained what was in everything, and I explained that the " cheese " was only cashews, orange pepper, lemon juice, onion powder, salt, and water. They were all very curious to know about these " hamburgers " . I explained several times that I had made everything myself in my home, and that it had taken about 24 hours to bring everything to them (okay, 12 hours for the crackers, then I went to work, then 20 minutes to make the cheese, then maybe 12 hours in the refrigerator - I do think that makes it better) to make a long story short, they ate all the crackers and the cheese! (I had thought i would have some to bring home!) Now, people from Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Peru, Mexico, Colombia, China, Japan, Korea, and Mongolia know that American people do not *only* eat hamburgers, and that American food can be delicious.
