Guest guest
Okay Margaret - I'll chime in. (It'll be hard to keep it short) I have 8 kids - 5 married daughters and 3 boys still living at home. I have a unique family and situation - such a blessing. I have studied nutrition all my 35 married life and never heard about eating raw. My family has made nutritional changes throughout their whole lives as I have studied and learned what helps and hurts the body. So when we had " another change " nobody even blinked. When I heard about raw - we went 100% the same day. I threw out everything that wasn't raw from my freezers to my cupboards. Truth is truth - and eating raw rang true to all of us in this house. No forcing at all. I just keep " cooking " delicious foods and blends and they gobble it up as fast as I can make it. There was no time to " think " about Mcdonalds or Taco Bell - we had better flavors at home and everyone was so full - we sometimes couldn't eat the next meal. Truthfully. Those married daughters that have made the transitions in their families have 100% support from their husbands. What golden families they all have. Those married daughters that have stopped to read and learned about this are very excited and see super results also. My sons living at home are all in sports and hear about nutritional on a daily basis from their coaches. They are eager and excited to watch their bodies drop the dull fat bulges and put on big lean muscles. My husband has lost about 20 lbs and I have lost about 15 -I went from a size 10-12 to a size 6-4. We did it by eating fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, sprouts, coconuts, avocados, Udo's Oil, ground flax and taking supplements every morning and night. You can see from my blog what we eat on a daily basis. The more we eat - the more we lose - it's because the fresh, natural foods are being used immediately for our energy and our metabolisms are in full flame all the time! (No time for storing fat) We have learned that no one food is magic. It takes a complete variety of all fresh foods to make this way of eating work. A little of this and a little of that. You have to be committed to health and want to take the time to plan and prepare. The most important thing of all is that you have to ask yourself - what do you want from life? If you want to be happy, fit and be able to serve others - then you have come to the right place - eating raw! BUT YOU HAVE TO READ AND LEARN HOW. I have eaten a million other ways, popped the pills and nothing ever ever worked for me. We are finally at peace with ourselves and more healthy than we have ever been in our whole life and that is sad - because we are approaching our 60's. I tried to keep it short - but I have such a strong testimony of eating this way and love to share it with the world. I started my blog to help my 5 daughters - but I guess others are enjoying it too - so be it. Have a great day - and keep reading and learning.
