Actually, the baby chicks aren't formed from the yolks, they are formed from

a little tiny white gooey substance attached to the yolk. You'll know what

I'm talking about next time you see it. The yolk is how they get their

nourishment. They take it into their abdomen right before hatching. It is

able to sustain them up to 3 days, I think. That's how they are able to be

shipped from companies right after they hatch.

 

We used to have ducks and still have guineas (who have lots of eggs right

now!!!). I just learned this myself recently. :) I really don't think it's

possible to have two chicks in one egg anyway. I've never heard of that

before.

Actually, i'm quite astonished by that...

lucky you to have witnessed that! COOL :)

 

One time i was making scrambled eggs for the family, and 5 eggs had 2

yolks.. Needless to say i couldn't bare eating any of the twins!!!! lol I

don't know how this is different from

a single yolk... hehe
