Guest guest
Actually, the baby chicks aren't formed from the yolks, they are formed from a little tiny white gooey substance attached to the yolk. You'll know what I'm talking about next time you see it. The yolk is how they get their nourishment. They take it into their abdomen right before hatching. It is able to sustain them up to 3 days, I think. That's how they are able to be shipped from companies right after they hatch. We used to have ducks and still have guineas (who have lots of eggs right now!!!). I just learned this myself recently. I really don't think it's possible to have two chicks in one egg anyway. I've never heard of that before. Cindy Actually, i'm quite astonished by that... lucky you to have witnessed that! COOL One time i was making scrambled eggs for the family, and 5 eggs had 2 yolks.. Needless to say i couldn't bare eating any of the twins!!!! lol I don't know how this is different from a single yolk... hehe -- Version: 7.1.392 / Virus Database: 268.5.4/332 - Release 5/4/2006
