Guest guest
Kelly, here's a recipe I posted some time back that's hidden away in the recipes folder in the files section. Check out that area for lots of recipes. Take a tip from me and cut the quantities down until you know if you like what you've made or not. Almonds will swell up a lot so, if you are making this for yourself, use maybe 1/4 cup before soaking. Tommie http://www.rawburchard.blogspot.com NOT BEAN DIP a substitute for bean dip that isn't beans at all but almonds. Soak the almonds overnight (or all day if you want to make it in the evening). Drain and put them through a Champion juicer with the blank in place or throw them in the food processor. Add garlic, onion, sea salt, cumin, and chili powder to taste. (Remember that raw onion and garlic pack a bigger punch than cooked.) Process until smooth. Add water to the desired consistency. This is better than dip made with sprouted beans. It has much the same flavor and " mouth feel " without the beany taste. A friend of mine adds olive oil but it isn't necessary. rawfood , " Kelly Willhauck " <spunky wrote: > > I am having a really hard time at nights, with my cravings. > I make it up to 9pm, and then it hits me. > I think i need a recipe for crackers or tortillas... > I'm not having a good transition period. I'd really like to go 100% raw. I think im being way too hard on myself, but i'm motivated. Guest guest
Kelly, I've tried raw beans and sprouted beans and they are far too " beany " for my taste. You can try them and see what you think. I like the nuts fixed " Mexican " style but I eat a very small amount because they are rich.
