Guest guest
Hi Tiffany, 6 am or so ....I start the day with a 1/2 a green smoothie..... 3 handfuls of spinach, 1 scoop of raw hemp seed powder, 1 cup of water, 1 banana, 1.5 c of frozen berries. This is just example, there are many more to choose from I do have a Vita mix but any blender will do. 8 to 9 am second 1/2 of the green smoothie 11 to 12 a grapefruit or some other fruit 2 pm a large salad with lots of mixed greens, a tomato, avocado, sprouts, sunflower seeds, sugar snap peas, carrots, mushrooms, red onion, garlic, zucchini and a honey mustard dressing. 5 pm a piece of fruit or handful of nuts 7 to 8 pm One of my favorite meals is sliced bananas and strawberries in brazil or hazel nut milk. YUMMY!! Brazil Nut Milk 1 cup brazil nuts (soaked for 2 or more hours) 2 dates pitted 4 cups water, less if you like thicker creamier milk 1 tbsp vanilla extract pinch of sea salt 2 Tbsp agave or raw honey Drain nuts and toss nut soak water Add Brazil nuts, water and dates to blender. Blend until smooth Drape strainer bag over pitcher or bowl and fasten with some sort of clip Pour mixture through strainer bag and allow to drain for a bit. If you are impatient like I am you can squeeze the bag until nothing else is draining. Place back in blender with vanilla, agave/honey and salt. Blend a few seconds. Store n refrig in a covered glass container. Lasts a few to 3 or 4 days Also great with almonds or hazelnuts Another yummy dinner is Zucchini noodles with pesto Slice the zucchini to the seeds using a carrot peeler. Stop at the seeds. Mix with pesto. I make Pesto in the food processor with.... 1 cup of Basil 1/4 c pine nuts 1/2 c walnuts 1/8 c olive oil 3 cloves of garlic 1/4 tsp Celtic sea salt HTH, Leslie On Apr 28, 2006, at 8:05 PM, Tiffany Beckwith wrote: > Would any of you advanced raw foodies like to share a mock day in > your raw > food life?
