Guest guest
This is my 3rd week that I have been 80 % raw! Im soooo proud of myself……. I had a question…this is my fisrt post here and I wanted to say I have been vegan most of my life and decided to go raw after my son was born 3 weeks ago! This sounds like a sick question but…… Today my bowels have gone crazy im at the point now where what I eat comes out in less than 6 hours…. Is it normal to have a total bowel release during a raw transition? A ton of waste…not to give you too much info but I was concerned….i don't feel sick or icky except now I feel weak……what do you guys think… Also is there any info on breastfeeding while on a raw diet? Guest guest
Don't worry about " sick " questions. Our bodies do a lot of things that are out of the ordinary and we feel like we are all alone out there. It's normal to wonder. I have been eating 100% raw for over 10 months now and I went through the same thing you are going through. I had times that, if I wasn't close to a bathroom, it could be disastrous. It's only been in the past couple of months that my bowels have settled down to a good rhythm. For awhile, whenever I would get up in the night, I would have a small b.m. Now, I generally " go " in the daytime. I have never been constipated in all my life except for after childbirth but my b.m.s got to be even more frequent. That's settled down, too. Your body is going through lots of changes and that's just one of them. There is a member of the private forum I belong to who is nursing. She eats anywhere from 2500 to 3000 calories a day. You are still " eating for two " so it takes more. I generally get from 1500 to 1800 but I'm definitely past the childbearing age. Keep in touch! Your post comes as no surprise to me. -- Bill Schoolcraft | http://wiliweld.com " If your life was full of nothing but sunshine, you would just be a desert.
