Global Warming? Isn't that just natural? With the " Earth Day Celebration " we were again reminded about Global Warming among many other " real " environmentally problems. Well, before I start with my thoughts I want to make sure that everybody understands that I am not only environmentally friendly oriented, but also very concerned with what we are creating around ourselves, like environmentally friendly housing and living, of course and then the food. But there is one thing that I never understood since the discussion about Global Warming came up about 35 years ago in Germany.: As I learned and understood there was the " Ice-time " ; started about 1 Million Years ago and slowly ended about 10,000 years ago. The remaining ice is slowly melting on Mountains all over the earth and it becomes every year less and less. I am always quite sceptic about " fear propaganda " and scare tactics (see bird flue etc.), especially in this case, because of the following reasons: The so called specialists don't seem to care anymore so much about the rain forest cuts, but Global Warming is The Theme! Never ever I hear any specialist talking about the following: 1. How was the earth before the ice time? As scientists found out with digging hundreds of feet into the ice at the North Pole, the earth must have been comfortable warm everywhere, except very high mountains and the North and South Pole. 2. Well then, since the ice time was just temporary, even so it seems as an eternity to us humans, why shouldn't the ice melt logically? Why shouldn't it be gone one time? Is there really a from humans created global warming the reason for the ice to melt or is it just natural, because everything goes back to how it was before anyway? Scientists explain that if the temperature on the earth would increase in the next 50 years by only 2ºC (it's about 8ºF), so much ice would be melting, that many islands and beaches would be gone under water. 3. If that is going to be the case, then logically the dry land on earth must have been anyway much smaller before than it is now after the ice time. Is there any scientist out there who has some logical answers to these questions? Well, I guess we better buckle up and move more inland. o:) ********************************************************************************\ ******** With best regards, Ursula www.goodmoodfood.com Good Mood Food Cafe 5930 Warner Ave. / S.W. corner of Springdale Huntington Beach 714-377-2028 For directions please look up our website: www.goodmoodfood.com
