Guest guest
Well, sort of. I read about raw in the mid eighties and though, at the time, I thought it was way too extreme, I never forgot about it. Sometime in the 90's, I remember trying to stay raw until lunch, with success, for a few months. So, here I am not wanting to get old and sick so I've been reading up and am ready to give it a whirl. A few weeks ago I stumbled on Tommie's blog and have admired the way she has stuck to it. Tommie, thanks for the inspiration. I may copy cat you and get a blog going too. I do hope I can copy cat your steadfastness! I've set my official start date as Monday but will probably be mostly raw until then. Bad Dobby, thanks for saying the potato repulsed you. That's encouraging to know our tastes will change after a while. Thanks all for being here! Kate .. . . . . . . . . > But one thing I did was I saw the baked potatoes, and this guy was dressing his up with all the " side " stuff and I thought to myself, wow, I miss baked potatoes. So I grabbed the littlest one I could....and took it to my table. > > One bite and I was repulsed! My brain thought it looked good, but my taste buds and body said NO WAY! > > So that is one more thing I doubt I will crave again. I have only been raw since late January and its a slow process, but eventually, your cravings for cooked stuff will pass....even if its one thing at a time! > > Just hang in there! > > Peace
Guest guest
I really feel behind the times, Kate! I didn't know raw existed until a couple of years ago. The blog helps me as much as it helps anyone. I would recommend starting one. Copy cat all you want! Just be sure to post the address so we can all check in on you! As for the steadfastness, just put your mind to it for the first few days. Say to yourself in the morning that you are going to make it through the day without eating anything cooked. Do it a day at a time and before long, you will have made it a habit and the cravings will be history. Good luck!
