Guest guest
This is a dumb question but I am going to ask anyway. People approach me everyday about RELIV. They swear that it heals everything. Everyday someone calls my phone and leaves a message of a miracle story. What is up with RELIV??? They won't take no for an answer. They think that I will change my mind. WHAT is in RELIV that works for these people? Judy
Guest guest
Are they telemarketers? Are you on the " Do not call " registry? If you are, tell them that you will report them if they don't quit calling. Or tell them all about eating raw food! Turn the tables on them and give them a sales pitch of your own. INGREDIENTS: Soy Protein Isolate, Soy Flour, Brewer's Yeast, Lecithin, Psyllium Fiber, Dicalcium Phosphate, Ascorbic Acid, Methionine, Potassium Chloride, Magnesium Phosphate, Natural Flavor, Licorice Root, Garlic, Rhubarb Root, Rose Hips, Cayenne, Kelp, OptiZinc® Brand of Zinc Monomethionine, Ferrous Fumarate, Calcium Pantothenate, Niacinamide, Vitamin E Acetate, Vitamin A Palmitate, Vitamin D3, Copper Gluconate, Papain, Bromelain, Thiamin HCL, Riboflavin, Beta Carotene, Pyridoxine HCL, Biotin, Folic Acid, Potassium Iodide, Vitamin B12, Sodium Selenite and ChromeMate® Brand of Niacin Bound Chromium Polynicotinate. Doesn't sound like anything I would want to put in my body! The soy alone would scare me away. Guest guest
TELEMARKETERS? No - these are people in my neighborhood and people at work. Everyone is hooked on this stuff and wants my husband to use it because of his shaking hand. I was just dying to hear what you guys think about it. Certainly - Reliv (a MLM company) isn't just here in Arizona. About soy.....I know previously things have been said that are negative about soy - but I am learning some pretty incredible things about soy. Growing them yourself and eating them raw. They completely have the power to get rid of nitrates in your system. A group of rats were given bacon and the nitrates immnediately attacked their livers. The next group of rats were given an orange and it took twice as long to attack their livers. The 3rd group was given soy beans and the nitrates never showed up in their blood. This is coming from a Immunologist, Dr. Chen, who studies what every food does to your cells. Her study is to conquer cancer by strengthening your immune system. I keep seeing in old books that authers shun soy beans - but I think that's old news ....and that soy beans are like magic! (of course I really mean that variety is imperative - but soy beans should be among the list of good veggies). I only eat like 1/4 c at a time - but we eat them regularly. Any other comments about Reliv??? Judy On 4/25/06, jerushy1944 <no_reply > wrote: > > Are they telemarketers? Are you on the " Do not call " registry? Guest guest
The problem isn't with soy itself, but with the " Soy Protein Isolate. " The process by which these proteins are extracted involve chemicals (petro-chemical solvents) - similar to the way coffee is decaffeinated (when not done by the Swiss water method). Guest guest
I was taught - that the whole soy bean is magic. It is the soy protein isolate that is the problem like you said. Taking it apart and only using part of the soy is crazy. I didn't know they used chemicals to do the processing though. Thanks. Guest guest
Wasn't there something with soy also about them being GMO. along with how they were processed?? I also have read alot of good things about soy IF.. it is not GMO or processed but is organically grown and the whole bean is used... but then... what about the " bean " part? Are we to eat " beans " this is a " bean " ... so confused on the soy thing. Debbie M SV <shavig wrote: I was taught that raw soybeans are toxic. Guest guest
Have you read The Whole Soy Story? It was published about a year and a half ago. Raw soy beans contain toxins that can only be destroyed by cooking so be careful! Tommie http://www.rawburchard.blogspot.com rawfood , " Judy Cozza " <judycozza wrote: > > TELEMARKETERS? Guest guest
There's your argument! Tell 'em you don't put anything in your body that has been processed!
