Not everyone is going to approve of any diet or lifestyle. We are all

different and we have so many factors in our choices but it is helpful if we do

what

is best for us. I studied biochemistry. All cells have a gene for self

destruction. IF this is triggered then enzymes are created within the cell

(enzymes specific to this cell) that will dismantle the cell into components

which

for proteins is amino acids. This may be the digestive process that mono meals

and raw foods take advantage of.

I do remember talking with my biochem professor about absorption of whole

proteins which there is evidence that it does happen (prions or mad cow for

one).

Common view is that proteins need to be separated into individual amino

acids before absorption into the body. It would be nice to see this phenomenon

studied....

Leah:

In Anatomy and physiology we were told it takes 7 years to replace every atom

in our bodies -- connective tissue fascia, tendons, ligaments, etc., do not

have direct blood supply so they take the longest to be replaced.

Have a great day.
