(although I don't know if they're 100% raw due to the nama shoyu/tamari). Works for me though! He used a mandolin, he said anything else wouldn't slice the onions thin enough for the marinade to work. Caramelized Onions Ingredients: 2 onions, finely sliced (paper thin) 1-2T date paste (pitted and blended with water) douse with olive oil dash of soya sauce, tamari or nama shoyu Directions: Toss onions in the other ingredients.
