Guest guest
Dear Raw Friends, I've been vegan over 3 years, but I've been on and off raw, vegan, vegetarian for over 20 years. This is my longest vegan period and I'm still trying to go raw. I just bought Victoria Boutenko " s " Green for Life " book and had my first " Green Smoothie " yesterday. Awesome. After reading Gabriel Cousens' (raw vegan) and John McDougall's (vegan, not raw) books, I have been supplementing with B-12. However, I hate taking pills. I notice the Boutenko family includes honey and nutritional yeast in some of their recipes. Another raw food family, the Taliaferos, also include honey. I'm wondering if this could be a source of B-12? Anyway, I'm not too keen on adding either honey or nutritional yeast to my dietary. I've agonized over the B-12 issue before. My question is: Are there any long term raw vegans out there who are doing fine without B-12 supplementation in any form (pills, powders, yeast, honey, spirulina, etc. etc.)? I would love to hear your stories. Thank You, Arlynn
