Guest guest
I've made this cake 3 or 4 times for our birthdays last year, and it is a big hit every time: Un-Chocolate Cake (adapted from Eating Without Heating by Boutenko) 5 c. ground walnuts 3 c. raisins 4 T. raw carob powder 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. salt Blend in processor well. Frosting: 1 c. raw tahini 4 T. honey 3 T. raw carob powder 1 tsp. vanilla Water to thin Mix in processor and spread over cake. Refrigerate. ------------- This is another cake that I've heard very great things about and plan to make this one in May and June for birthdays: http://www.rawguru.com/recipe36.html And here's one more that sounds really easy and yummy: http://www.hacres.com/recipes/recipes.asp?recipeid=24 There are so many recipes out there to experiement, but these are two that I've *heard* are really good, and the first one I've tried myself and loved! For ice cream you can use a food processor or the Champion juicer (best) and use bananas as a base. You can use bananas only, or you can add really anything you like. Just experiement to come up with your own recipe. You also might be intrested in trying some recipes in the book " Vice Cream " . I don't have it yet, but I've heard so many great things about it. Maybe if someone here has it, they can share their favorite recipe. Amazon sells the book for just a few dollars.
