In the US, hemp seed must be sterile to be sold. Hemp and " wacky

weed " are produced from the same plant, they are just different parts

of the plant.

Yes, a lot of the hemp sold in the US and even some imported has been

irradiated. That is something you need to investigate when buying your

hulled hemp seeds/hemp hearts. Irradiation kills a lot of the

nutritionally valuable elements.
