Guest guest
lets not forget the LOVELY salt water flush it says to do everyday!!! I have just finished reading the book and today I have been MOSTLY fasting. We are expecting house guests some time tonight (they are driving in) and so I wont be able to start the full fast until sunday or monday. But I decided to try today to see how it would be like, and I only got really hungry a few times and I ate a small handfull of raisens this morning and in the early afternoon I ate half a carrot (stole that from hubbys salad when he wasnt looking...so it doesnt count..LOL!) And about a half hour ago I ate an orange. But its hard to drink just lemonade when you are preparing for house guests and having to put groceries away and go to the grocery store...that was a challenge on an almost empty stomach! But after reading the book, I have learned that there is so much more to this fast than just drinking the lemonade for 10 days or more if you can. I am wondering though....have any of you that have done the master cleanse ever done it while being VERY over weight? Due to my graves disease and lack of a thyroid, I gained so much weight and now I am trying to get rid of it and I know the fast is not the way to do it..I am doing the fast to remove toxins and like the book claims, detox my whole body and hopefully give it a fresh start. But has anyone done it long term that was really over weight? What were the results? I am hoping that I could shed about 15 pounds pretty quick, then let eating only 100% raw do the rest. (ok...true confession time...I need to get into my wet suit by may 19th and right now that means coming down about 2 sizes) GRRRR...damn graves disease! So anyways, I am hoping this master cleanse will help clean me out and help me do a fast reduction in that sense. I hope to be able to do the fast for the fist 10 days, then maybe see if I can make it maybe another week, then take a break. I am not sure if I can make it, but I really miss my health and until I can get back into my old routine, I am gonnna have to keep battleing it. So any opinions???
