Guest guest Posted March 20, 2006 Report Share Posted March 20, 2006 VEGETABLE CRACKERS " Living in the Raw " by RoseLee Calabro 1 cup sunflower seeds, soaked 6 - 8 hours and rinsed 1 cup pumpkin seeds, soaked 6 - 8 hours 2 carrots 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped 1 red onion, finely chopped 2 stalks celery, finely chopped 2 cloves garlic (optional) ¼ cups fresh parsley, finely chopped Pinch of Celtic sea salt (optional) Process sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and carrots through a Champion juicer using the solid plate. Add red bell peppers, red onion, celery, garlic, parsley and salt. Form round crackers about 1 ½ inch in diameter and ¼ " thick. Place on a dehydrator tray with a teflex sheet. Dehydrate at 105 degrees for 4 hours, flip crackers over, and remove teflex sheet. Continue dehydrating for 3 - 6 hours, or until desired crispness is obtained.
