Guest guest
Check this out http://www.fredericpatenaude.com/toothsoap.html I'd made my own " toothsoap " by mixing coconut oil, palm oil (quality stuff from www.tropicaltraditions.com), and olive oil. That's it! I've been using it for less than a week, and my teeth are whiter, gums are pinker, healthier, and I have less pain in some areas. Its truly amazing! Guest guest
Hi Jen, How did you make the toothsoap? Did you just mix equal parts of these oils? I've been using coconut oil to brush my teeth for the last week or two, and my teeth and gums are much less sensitive as a result. Guest guest
Jennifer, Oh, that's great you're using coconut oil already! I just mixed up an equal amount of coconut oil and palm oil, and less olive oil. The reason being, if there's too much olive oil, it will running. You want the " toothsoap " more like a " paste. " Then again, when the oils get warm enough, they all " melt " anyway. Does that make sense? Let me know how it works! love, Jen Jennifer <simplify wrote: Hi Jen, How did you make the toothsoap? Guest guest
Jen, Have you ever purchased the tooth soap that the information speaks of or did you make your own? Will the share with us the exact amounts you used of each oil? Thanks Jen Lynn <jenfly777 wrote: Check this out http://www.fredericpatenaude.com/toothsoap.html I'd made my own " toothsoap " by mixing coconut oil, palm oil (quality stuff from www.tropicaltraditions.com), and olive oil. Guest guest
No, I haven't brought the tooth soap. I figured since I had all the ingredients (except the saponified coconut oil and the essential oil - which btw, I'm thinking its peppermint), I'd mix them up and see what happened. I'm glad I did! My parents liked it so much that I mixed up some for them too! I used about 5 or so Tablespoons of both coconut and palm oil (about equal amounts), and mixed in some olive oil. I'm not sure how much, just not as much as the coconut or palm oil. If you don't have the ingredients or really, really want the exact amount the oil should be, maybe getting the tooth paste for 20 bucks is a good idea. If you can, like me and have the ingredients, just mixed small amounts up - You can't really go wrong with this " recipe. " Hope that helps..;-) Jen Kimse Fard <kimse wrote: Jen, Have you ever purchased the tooth soap that the information speaks of or did you make your own? Guest guest
Do you think this toothpaste prevents plaque buildup? Would it be good with a bit of crushed mint in it? rawfood , Jen Lynn <jenfly777 wrote: > > Jennifer, > > Oh, that's great you're using coconut oil already! Guest guest
yes, it removes and prevents plague. if you want to use fresh mint, maybe just crushing up a little for each use would be good. Guest guest
Question - Why do you put palm oil with the coconut oil to brush your teeth? Why isn't the coconut oil good enough. I want to brush and " get out " . Guest guest
Judy, I use palm oil, olive oil, and coconut oil because that's what the " toothsoap " is basically made of. Maybe the coconut oil is " good enough " ...but i use all three. I'm just using what works for me though it can be a bit messy. ;-) Jen Judy Cozza <judycozza wrote: Question - Why do you put palm oil with the coconut oil to brush your teeth?
