Guest guest
I have a quick question about the master cleanse..... Does it have to be maple syrup???? Is there any substitute for this ingredient? Wouldn't raw honey be just as sweet? Or is there something in the maple syrup that has to do with the cleanse? I tired the cleanse for about a half a day, not because I didn't like the taste of the drink, I actually liked the taste of lemon with Cayenne pepper...surprisingly enough! I just cant get maple syrup very easily and it is pretty expensive on my budget, honey would be easier and less fuss, but I don't know if this would change the cleanse...any opinion on this would be welcome! I really need to detox my body, more than some people. I have had (gasp) radioactive iodine in my system 3 years ago when a quack of a DR. told me it was the best way to deal with my thyroid problem (what a crock of S & #%)... Anyways, I would like to make sure that I get as much of this gunk outta me as I possible can! SO any help would be wonderful Also...someone gave me a Himalayan Salt Crystal Lamp. It is supposed to release negative ions into the air. Anyone had any experience with this?? Thanks! You are all the greatest!....And whomever turned me on to Cacao NIBS.......BLESS YOU!!!! LOL! The Master Cleanser is supposed to do a complete cleansing of the gastro-intestinal tract. In my experience, that is what happens. For sure, I know it (personally) it cleanses kidneys, liver, and colon. The last time I had a colonoscopy, I realized that, with my schedule, I would not be able to do all the required enemas, so I decided to do the Master Cleanser (I had only 5 days before my appointment!) When I got there, when they asked me if I had followed the prescribed regimen, I was honest and told them what I had done to prepare. The nurses warned me that if they " got in there " and found that I was " unclean " , the procedure would be discontinued, and I would have to come back. After 5 days, I was fairly confident (if you have ever done the master cleanser, you will understand). After the procedure, while I was still really sleepy, a nurse visited me and asked me what I had done... (I sort of doubt I told her anything more detailed than " the Master Cleanser " . Regardless, the internist was happy with the results. If and when I decide to do it again (yes, I should, I will do the Master Cleanser again as a prep. I do Master Cleanser when I feel I need a Liver Detox, or when I feel like things aren't working, or when I feel sick. I tend to do a Master Cleanser also at the spring, summer, fall, and winter equinoxes. I learned of the Master Cleanser from a woman who was using it as part of a health regimen which I later learned was a to combat her cancer. I read about it (the book is in the list database) and decided to include it in my life. Margaret
