Guest guest
Hi While we are on the socially dodgy subject of colon cleansing I was wondering if anyone had a direction on cleansing the gastrointestinal tract completely. The mucoid plaque that builds up over years is given a lot of attention in the colon but it is everywhere putrefying and releasing toxins back in to the body and preventing the villi from absorbing nutrients. The pundits for the rather expensive herbal cures (which I am sure work) say that eating raw will not rid us of this plaque. Other say wheatgrass helps. I need to find a way that does not cost much partially because if a thing is to be of use then it has to be of use to everyone. Any ideas ? And how can we know it has worked ? Kirk PS Sorry if it is ucky subject - Tiffany rawfood Wednesday, March 08, 2006 8:37 PM Re: [Raw Food] New to list-question on fasting/ulcerative colitis Hi again, Pam! I haven't researched into raw food lifestyles enough to know whether or not others would agree to use a colon cleansing supplement, but I do every 3 months because I'm not 100% raw yet. I found an all organic blend of very gentle herbs with flax called " CleanseSMART First Cleanse " by Renewlife and after that I take their " CleanseSMART Advance Cleanse " . It doesn't make me feel icky or like running to the bathroom frequently because it works differently than other cleansers. I bought it from a mostly organic chain market in S. California called " Wild Oats " , but it's cheaper online if you 'Froogle' on " Google " . Your post wasn't graphic at all! I think it's safe to say that everybody is interested in how their body is performing - it's important to monitor your progress naturally. If my bowel isn't moving for any odd reason, I go jogging. Not swimming or walking, just a carefully slow paced jog. Then while sitting I lean forward, putting one elbow on my knee for support and relax my midriff while gently jabbing my belly with four fingertips. This will cause your diaphram to force your breathing with every jab, so let that happen. -Tiffany Pam Beall <beallp wrote: Hi I'm new to the list and am currently experiencing an ulcerative colitis flare up. I was feeling so bad/so much pain I wanted to die. Now I am fasting and feeling really good. I've used fasting and fruit / juicing to get me through every flare for 10 years only to not continue a raw lifestyle. I'm ready to change for good. I have a question about elimination while fasting. Sorry if it's too graphic, but I've read about people getting rid of the stuff in their colon while fasting. I am not eliminating since I'm not eating. Is this normal ? Do I need a colon cleanse supplement? Pam
Guest guest
Hi Kirk, Look into colonic irrigation/colon hydrotherapy. Most likely there's a clinic in your area. Somewhere between 6 and 12 treatments, all that hard, black, rubbery substance which has accumulated and adhered to your intestinal walls will be completely dispelled in one sitting. All that is used in a sterile environment is purified warm water for about 45 minutes while the therapist massages your belly. I plan on doing this so that all the raw food I eat could completely absorb into my body. The Master Cleanser is supposed to do a complete cleansing of the gastro-intestinal tract. In my experience, that is what happens. For sure, I know it (personally) it cleanses kidneys, liver, and colon. The last time I had a colonoscopy, I realized that, with my schedule, I would not be able to do all the required enemas, so I decided to do the Master Cleanser (I had only 5 days before my appointment!) When I got there, when they asked me if I had followed the prescribed regimen, I was honest and told them what I had done to prepare. The nurses warned me that if they " got in there " and found that I was " unclean " , the procedure would be discontinued, and I would have to come back. After 5 days, I was fairly confident (if you have ever done the master cleanser, you will understand). After the procedure, while I was still really sleepy, a nurse visited me and asked me what I had done... (I sort of doubt I told her anything more detailed than " the Master Cleanser " . Regardless, the internist was happy with the results. If and when I decide to do it again (yes, I should, I will do the Master Cleanser again as a prep. I do Master Cleanser when I feel I need a Liver Detox, or when I feel like things aren't working, or when I feel sick. I tend to do a Master Cleanser also at the spring, summer, fall, and winter equinoxes. I learned of the Master Cleanser from a woman who was using it as part of a health regimen which I later learned was a to combat her cancer. I read about it (the book is in the list database) and decided to include it in my life. Margaret
