Guest guest
I have been transitioning to a raw food diet over the last 6 months. I am now up to breakfast, snacks and supper 100% raw and lunch is raw combined with a cooked grain and cooked bean. I have been having better and better bowel movements until the last week. I now have almost uncontrollable bowel movements where I pass gas but accidently soft stool comes out. (Sorry this is is a bit disgusting). Three days ago for the first time I did eliminate some jelly like black mucouse so I am thinking that my body is finally detoxing. But this ever constant uncontrollable bowel movement thing has me afraid to go out and afraid I'm detoxing too fast or my body can't handle the raw foods? Any input is welcome. I suffer from Multiple Chemical Sensitivity which according to Medical Professionals has no cure. I am so hopeful that the rawfood diet is what indeed can heal my body and prove the doctors wrong. I do realize I am incredibly toxic and I have to be careful. Sheri PS I am also recurance of symptoms from earlier on in my illness. How do I discern if these symptoms are detoxing or just that I am getting sick again?
Guest guest
Sheri I have had similar experiences. Part of your symptoms may even be due to your intestines being gunked up with mucus which is festering and putting toxins in your system. It may be worth looking at intestinal cleaning and colon cleansing. I have had one colon irrigation treatment and done one slat water flush (this requires a qualified yogi). they have both helped, but there are other ways out there and I suggest you research as much as possible. I have even read that most people who die in old age actually die of starvation as the this mucoid plaque builds up to such a degree that they are unable to absorb any of there food, that and plus the enzyme bank being depleted. Sobering thought next time you watch someone tucking in to a pizza and milkshake. Kirk - sheriljay rawfood Friday, March 03, 2006 8:25 PM [Raw Food] Detox Symptoms: Am I normal? Guest guest
Hi Sheri, I have had much the same experience. Don't worry about being honest. That's the only way we can know what you're going through. My b.m.'s have gotten to be more normal as time goes on. I can't say that yours will but I hope that you will give your body a chance to adapt to the raw way of eating. I believe that, after a period of time, you will be able to control it again. Good luck and all blessings!
