Guest guest
I spent most of yesterday throwing up, either I picked up a bug while at WinterJams (Saturday) or I just totally wore myself out with the concert and 8 hours of driving and fast food on the road... I haven't had anything to eat today other than a couple saltine crackers and some coffee. I'm not really feeling like eating anything right now, so I'm not going to...but when I do, what's good to eat when you've been throwing up sick? I don't want to overload my system. I have some bananas and oranges right now for frest fruit, and I have salad greens and alfalfa sprouts that's raw, and some veggies I could steam (broccoli, cauliflower and carrots) and some rice. Guest guest
Hi, Beth, If I were you (and I don't know your situation) I would drink water and lots of it, go to bed and rest, rest, rest, sleep all I could, and not eat anything until I was truly hungry. Coffee is a no-no. Crackers are traditional for nausea but you'd be better off without them. I'd drink OJ initially after the stomach calms down. It practically digests itself. When your stomach gets to feeling better, gradually add back sweet fruit. Leafy greens and veggies are harder to digest so I'd wait until last--at least a day or two (or more)--to eat them. I hate being puny, don't you? Get well soon!
