I can't believe I'm really here - it's been a long road! 29 of my 35

years of dieting and the past 12 getting closer and closer to eating

raw. Finally it was just too obvious what I needed to do. I gave up

the dieting all together, since it had done nothing but make me fat and

miserable about it. I looked back on the times I ate Paleo and felt

really good and decided to take it one step further. I'm so relieved

to finally be doing this. I feel FREE!

I had first come up with the idea in my early twenties and didn't know

it was an actual way of life. It just seemed like common sense, but a

friend convinced me it was crazy and I let it go.

Finished my first real day of 100% raw and feel so much better than I

did before I started. Pretty sure I have leaky gut (yuck - isn't that

attractive sounding?)after reading some testimonials on raw sites. On

the first of Feb. I attempted raw, but still needed to mull it over in

my mind a little more, however even cutting way back on processed food

that day got me through the old sugar-detox headache, so I didn't even

have to deal with that on my REAL first day. I thought it was a great

day to start too, being Groundhog Day since I want to stop feeling like

a waddling old groundhog, but start eating more like one!

My first question is about tea. I love iced peppermint tea, but can I

still drink this if I'm going for 100% raw? I usually fill half the

cup with nearly boiling water, let it steep some and fill the rest of

the cup with ice. I'm guessing nearly boiling water is a no-no now,

but will it steep decently in warm water and how warm?
