Jen,

I would like to second the recommendation to read Cousens' books. They

are thorough and he goes into the science and theory of a raw vegan

diet. Don't be overwhelmed by all the information in them. I started

with the Rainbow book, went Raw, then read Conscious Eating and am now

reading Spiritual Nutrition. His books have a wealth of info for you

even if you are not into the spiritual aspects you will learn a lot

about what different types of foods do to your body. Also, if you have

problems you will be able to troubleshoot using his ideas. I find his

writing and ideas to be very powerful.

I don't remember who has been asking about the nutritional differences

in raw and cooked food and the amount of insecticides, etc. This

information is also covered in his books. I found the best prices at

Amazon and B & N, also faster shipping, etc.

Good luck with going raw. I have been doing this for four months

straight from SAD and am loving the changes in my body and soul.
