Guest guest
With all do respect to those who feel they have the answer for the rest of us. I believe we are all unique and that while our goal may be the same our paths to that goal may have to be different. One resource I haven't read anyone mention is Thomas Chavez's book on Body Electronics which talks about raw/living foods as only one component of the healing/healthy lifestyle. I am half way through the book and have learned many new things and looking forward to talking to others who are also exploring the concepts in this discipline. One observation I recently made was that after drinking from glass containers for about a month I recently could taste the plastic when I drank from a plastic container. It was an interesting experience. Some of my natural hygiene practicing friends can taste the metal from a knive or blade in prepared food but I can't taste that at all (of course I still have a mouth full of metal...). Keep seeking, exploring and analyzing as you find YOUR way... Blessings to you all. Bill
Guest guest
Hi, New here, my name is Annie....had to comment on this. I became a vegetarian in the mid-90s, vegan a couple years later - then I married a carnivore! That was a struggle... but we separated a year ago, and since then, I've just tried to listen to my body and see what it's really asking for without judgment-lately that's been raw food. So that's why I'm here. But I noticed about 5-6 years ago that the smell and taste of plastic are extremely strong to me. I haven't been able to drink from plastic in ages, and just the smell of anything plastic is enough to make me lose my appetite. Like disposable silverware at picnics and parties. It's really odd, I'll mention that the smell of plastic is really strong in a room, and others look at me like I'm nuts! This is the first time I've heard anyone else mention that they don't like the taste of plastic. I notice a metallic taste on food if I eat it immediately after I cut it, but that taste leaves quickly, so I just wait a few minutes - but the taste of plastic never leaves. Enjoying a magnificent papaya with my daughter right now! Annie
