Guest guest
Hi, I worked as a RAW chef at several retreats and wish to inform you of what I know and my experience with a few. 1. Detox is not the same as RAW. RAW foods is full of flavor, taste, and interesting combinations. Detox, is the most healing foods used in combination with colonics and a very powerful but depriving experience. This difference is important to clarify because I see many people never wanting to touch RAW again, mistaking detox for RAW. Additionally I see many RAW foodist experience a radical detox because they thought RAW foods detoxed them already and were wrong. Detox is a powerful step to RAW because it cleanse the palette. The best detox diets contain a lot of sprouts, no nuts and oils, and a period of juice fasting. All foods eaten have the highest water content and the most nutrition. From what you described I highly recommend the " Optimum Health Institute " in San Diego, CA. Here you will experience 75-120 guest, with a real strong emphasis on socialization with a strong spirit of love. Everyone finds life and love and detoxes here. Additionally there are colonics, massage, and salt glows on premise. Toward the end of your retreat nearby are RAW restaurants, I recommend " Cilantro " to give her a taste of RAW. Explain that this is not RAW at the institute and make sure she understands that she is Detoxing to prepare for a RAW diet. I know from spending many months here that she will experience one of the best times of her life. I also take my young daughters ages 13 and 14 and they too, love it. Anne Wigmore, while excellent does not provide the opportunity to socialize as well as OHI, is more rustic, and not local to a RAW restaurant which is needed to understand the difference between raw and detox. Tree of Life: is more RAW, rather then detox and only averages 2-5 guest, it is way out there and feels it. Your Mother will experience a great time, good luck and have fun!
