Guest guest
I have an interesting story to tell you on the subject of garlic. I am an organic farmer, and I set up at the farmers market in the summer. One of my customers, a sweet, spry man in his 90's, told me one day that he couldn't buy any more of my garlic. For years, he would buy 3 to 5 heads a week. Now, he had eaten 3 cloves of garlic, raw, per day, for nearly his entire life. But his doctor told him he has to stop. The garlic was interfering with his cholesterol and blood pressure medicine. Interfering???? He didn't need the medicine, because the garlic controlled his blood pressure, cholesterol, and gave his immune system a boost as well! subtlewitch wrote: Namaste Enviroman et all I have been avidly reading this list and have felt that I have not so much to offer until now )I am very new to the raw food lifestyle and now that it is cold here...am not so " good " at staying entirely raw either!). On the garlic question though.......... I have read so very much that attributes awesome properties to raw garlic (including mega doses of it helping to cure cancers of all kinds). If something speaks against it, my assumptions would be that someone from the medical field perceives too great a threat. Do you remember where you read such a thing? My daughter suffers from time to time with digestive problems. It is never garlic that seems to cause a flair up! The garlic DOES keep her throat healthy and it seems to wisk even the nastiest of colds right out of her. Just my own offering here. Brightest Blessings )O(, the subtle one
