The VegSource Healthy Lifestyle Expo 2005 is coming up in just a month

YOU CAN BRING YOUR PET!

We were just told by the Hilton Burbank Convention Center, where the Expo is

being held, that this particular Hilton is a pet friendly hotel! They have a

limited number of rooms available for people who like to travel with their

pets, so yes, you can bring your favorite fur friend with you, as long as

you make your reservations in time.

And please be sure to reserve quickly, if you're planning on attending the

Expo and staying at the Hilton, because the expiration date for the cheap

rate we negotiated is 9/20/05. (We'll try to get this date extended, but

Speaking on " Confessions of a Former Sugar Addict "

Alex is the fiancee of Morgan Spurlock, and co-starred with him in the hit

movie SuperSize Me. Alex is a vegan chef in New York and author of " The

Great American Detox Diet " (this is the diet Morgan went on to regain his

health after his dangerous 30 day McDonald's binge). Alex is going to talk

about her experiences making SuperSize Me, as well as talking about sugar

addition.

CHILDCARE

We've had a number of people contact us in the past week asking us if we

could provide child care again this year, as we have in the past. We would

be happy to hire back our wonderful Camp VegSource counselors, if there is

sufficient interest. Please email expo if you would like to

attend the lectures next month, but need child care.

 

BLOOD TEST

We want to suck your blood! Well, at least the medical technicians do, who

will be providing very very cheap blood testing at the Expo. You'll have

your results in 10 minutes, then you can learn what they mean from Cleveland

Clinic physician Caldwell Esselstyn, MD, who will be lecturing and

explaining what each of the numbers reveals about your diet - and he'll

suggest improvements or tweaks some of you may want to consider.

 

RECYCLE YOUR ELECTRONICS AT THE EXPO!

What are you supposed to do with your old computers, cell phone, Ipods with

dead batteries, monitors, etc? Bring them to the Expo, and they'll be

disposed of in a responsible, ethical, environmentally safe manner. True

Cycle (http://www.truecycle.com/) will be collecting these items and making

sure they don't end up poisoning yet another innocent landfill.
