are emotional needs meant to be met by food? doesn't seem like it,

my happiness comes from my spirituality and food is just an item of

life, meant to be done joyously, but not meant to fulfill my

emotional needs, i don't think. how can an inanimate object fulfill

an emotional need? i think i'm just happy living in the will of god

as i understand it, and i think that's pretty much the end all, food

and everything else just happens to be in my life.

i just eat as much produce as i want and i assume it's healing and

fulfilling many mental and emotional needs too, along with the

obvious physical. i eat more now than i probably will as i get more

used to this diet, especially emotionally.

i don't know if eating is meant to fulfill our mental and emotional

needs however. it's interesting that you say it that way, as the

common understanding is that, like you said with " during our entire

lifetimes we have given these needs

precedence, such that they have smothered our ability to

feel real hunger " , that cooked food is eaten to suppress proper

emotion.

i eat a lot of produce in any given day, i'll tell you that much, but

i don't overeat, i can stop eating produce, any other food, i'll

overeat.

even if i ate more during the day, i'd still eat extra at night, it's

just an emotional processing thing that i have to overcome one of

these days. but no matter how much produce or raw nuts i put in my

body it's not going to hurt me.

i'm 5'10 " , 145 lbs. i think, which is fine, i look fairly skinny

but's it's really not too skinny.
