Hi,

I am thanking God for His help in getting me back on track with my

eating. Earlier this summer I was really struggling and it feels

good to be off of junk food again. Hopefully I am off the yukky yo-

yo cycle for good. I am back to losing weight again, all praise to

God. I attended a wellness workshop recently about disease

prevention through nutrition and am learning more great info on all

the great stuff fruits and vegetables does inside of us and how junk

tears down your body (like sugar wrecking immunity). I've heard

similar things before: I've read up a storm over the past few years

on nutrition, natural health, preventative health --and yet the hard

part can be " applying what we know " , huh :)?! We gotta STOP AND

THINK before we reach for dead food! Did you guys know that God put

over 10,000 phytonutrients (just that we know of) in one fresh

apple ?! What a wise, loving Creator that He should take care of us

in such a special way :) Disease is definately easier to prevent

than it is to cure.

My family is really getting into green smoothies these days--lately

it's been alot of spinach, romaine, other green leafy veggie with

bananas and either strawberries, peaches, or bluberries. (1/4-1/3

Vitamix of greens, a bunch of frozen bananas, other fresh fruits and

enough cold water to whiz) I can hardly believe how you can't even

taste the greens-just the sweetness of the fruit. I don't think my

children have ever taken in so many fresh greens as they have

lately, which makes this Mom happy!
