Guest guest
Hello everyone - when I first went raw in March this year I wrote in to the group about the unhealthy state of my fingernails - saying how for years they had degenerated into layering and splitting - very ridged and couldn't get any length to them without them breaking and no " half moons " showing and I was told by people in this group that soon I would have beautiful nails. Well it is happening - no more splitting or breaking - the half moons are coming back as I can see a tiny bit of them appearing. I have good growth there and they are strong like they used to be when I was in my teens This may sound a trivial thing to write about but to me it is quite a big thing as I figure if this way of eating is reaching my nails now then it also must be reaching parts of me inside that I cannot see, so I must be healthier all round! I am having some joint problems again - this gardening is killing me - seriously!! I can hardly walk with a very sore knee joint that I have twisted and the pain is very bad - not so good when there is pain like that - I wonder if a fast would help the pain to go and for it to mend itself? Love to all Lynne
Guest guest
Hi Lynne! So glad to hear that your nails are coming back! well done! As far as the fasting question, yes, the physiological rest would be helpful, just as it would be for most any other condition. There have been lots of conversation/threads here about fasting, and its benefits. Maybe start around 3/14 and 3/16 and read forward from there (both of those dates have fasting info...) try post 14752 also... also, Dr. H.M. Shelton (who supervised over 40,000 fasts!) wrote a great book called " Fasting for Renewal of Life " . and, if you've twisted your knee, resting it in general would be grand: give it a chance to heal. I recommend reading up on fasting before plunging that way. all the best, Bob rawfood , " Lynne " <niklyn@n...> wrote: > Hello everyone - when I first went raw in March this year I wrote in to the > group about the unhealthy state of my fingernails - saying how for years > they had degenerated into layering and splitting - very ridged and couldn't > get any length to them without them breaking and no " half moons " showing and > I was told by people in this group that soon I would have beautiful nails. > > Well it is happening - no more splitting or breaking - the half moons are > coming back as I can see a tiny bit of them appearing.
