I figured the best way to get involved in this group is to " jump right in " so

I'll start with an introduction.

 

My name is Christina, I'm 26, married and the mother of a 2 1/2 yr old son. I

have been vegetarian for about 11 years and vegan for about 6 1/2 (give or take

a few months). I am no stranger to the raw food diet and I am excited to just

hear how other people are making it work for them. I have really wanted to

commit to a diet of 80% raw food but I lack one thing, willpower. I swear,

nothing is harder for me than skipping a starbucks coffee, not eating 2 bagels

in one sitting and then washing it all down with a diet coke and some chinese

food. I am hoping by joining this group I can use peoples advice and ideas to

incorporate more raw food into my diet and slowly have raw food become the main

staple of my life.

 

On a side note, I need to drop some serious poundage. Being vegan, as we all

know, doesnt mean I am thin and I am struggling alot since having my son with

losing weight. Any one who has had any experience of using raw food to assist in

weight loss would be very inspiring to me! I need to lose about 80 pounds (gosh,

I hate even looking at that number,....). I am, however, not interested in

eating raw food, losing weight and going back to my bagel/chinese food diet..I'd

like this to stick.

 

Thats a couple things about me....Im excited to be apart of this group!
