[Rawschool] annual physical - surprised doctor!

I had my annual physical on Tuesday and what a surprise it was for my

physician. She first went down the list of medications she had prescribed

to ask if I needed refills. For each one (about 5) I said, " no - I'm not

taking them any more. " (Yea me!!!!)

She asked how I was feeling I told her I felt fantastic -the best I can

remember! Then she put the stethescope to my back to listen to my

breathing. She hesitated - moved the scope several times and then went back

to those same areas - stopped - came around to the front of me and said,

" what have you been doing? " I gave her that quizzical look and she said,

" your breathing has changed dramatically! " So I told her I had cut out

cooked foods (approximately 85%) and gave her a brief description of what I

was eating. She asked the typical questions, i.e., where do you get your

protein, your calcium, etc. and I gave her those answers. When I left she

said great job! Keep it up!

Oh - and I've lost 8 lbs since my visit last month. She didn't argue with me

about the raw food eating. As a matter of fact she seemed keenly interested

in eating raw food. We're waiting until next month to do my lab work

because I do my HgA1c every 3 months but I told her I would like to compare

the lab results with last year's results.

Hi Donna, this is so wonderful, I imagine you must be ecstatic. Now, here's

a question for you...would you consider letting go of the annual physical

entirely? You don't need it, you know!!

Best,

Elchanan
