I'd purchased just over 1/2 a case of bananas yesterday, and none of them were quite ripe. Once I'd brought them home, I remembered reading somewhere about how bananas can go from green to overripe sometimes in a day, at 80F (or thereabouts...source lost...) soooo...I put a bunch of them outside (I live in Florida), where it was ~93-95F, and left them out for most of the day.
