11:16 AM [Raw Food] Healing Hormonal Migraines with Live Foods

Looking for book recommendations or your experience on eliminating

migraines by balancing female hormones through a live food diet. I am

currently reading Gabriel Cousens latest book, and could use a

really " Basic How to Do Live Food Prep " book that is simple to read and

use. I'm also reading book by Victoria Boutenko. I am gradually

transitioning from 50% raw to more live foods as I learn. I'm also a

long time organic gardener so I eat from my garden often.

Hi Heartsong and all,

I wonder whether you would be willing to consider a paradigm shift instead

of a book?

You cannot " eliminate " migraines, your system is creating them for a

reason(s). If you forcibly suppress these symptoms, you will eventually, a

probably quickly, experience something " worse. "

In fact, we cannot " get rid of " anything at all. We can only create what we

desire, and watch as our new creation replaces the older, less desirable.

Would you be willing to begin appreciating your headaches? I realize that

may sound difficult and even preposterous at first. But every symptom our

body creates is an attempt by our subconscious mind to do at least the

following 2 things:

- cleanse and heal something

- communicate a message to our conscious awareness

In other words, the symptom is not only a sign or an indicator of a healing

process, it IS the healing process. So every time we suppress a symptom, we

block our own system's brilliant innate intelligence from healing us! And we

bring more of the same upon ourselves, or worse, in the future, as a problem

unaddressed must be revisited.

So appreciate those headaches instead of fighting them, as a crucial first

step toward bidding them farewell.

And what, perhaps, might be message your subconscious is attempting to bring

to your conscious awareness? I do not know you, but in my experience, what

people typically call " migraine headaches " are almost universally emotional

in origin. When we do not speak honestly, speak " our truth, " when we say

" yes " when we mean to say " no, " and for many other reasons, we become

deeply, deeply resentful toward ourselves.

We may blame others -- he criticized me, she did this or that, whatever --

but I have learned that almost 100% of the time, any and all anger or

resentment I ever experience begins and remains, at the core, only anger and

resentment toward myself.

And I have learned that, beneath all such anger and resentment, lie my

" true " feelings and perceptions -- fear, loneliness, a sense of

self-abandonment or powerlessness, etc. When I finally address these, my

genuine feelings, then my judgments vanish, and typically so do my symptoms!

I realize this may sound like a monumental task, and I recognize that most

of us believe we must function and get through the day in order " to live. "

(At least, we've been taught to believe such things. I shed such beliefs

long ago, and I am MUCH happier ever since.) So I can understand why you

might want to suppress, numb out, stifle the symptoms, to seek relief. But I

encourage you to use the relief period constructively on your own behalf, to

then seek within yourself those beliefs and patterns of reacting (as opposed

to responding) that no longer serve you constructively, and that cause you

to turn upon yourself in some manner.

Transform these, and you transform everything in your life in some

constructive way. And as you have " more of yourself, " you have more to give

to others. And as you give more to others, you enable them to give to you

the gift of receiving, which is the greatest gift one can receive from

another.

I hope this exploration is helpful to you and others,

Best to all,

Elchanan
