Thanks again Lewis _____ Other than the basic mechanics of receiving light and transforming the light into an electrical signal, vision -- which is what we PERCEIVE out of what our eyes physically see, occurs entirely in the mind. The mind controls our focusing (accommodation), via the orbital muscles of the eye (not the lens, as the medical/commercial eye industry would have us believe). The mind filters in or out what we " see, " or perceive. That is why no two eyewitnesses ever report " seeing " the same thing, it just doesn't happen. The physical mechanism of focusing is entirely about relaxation or tension in the orbital muscles. Just as with any other form of relaxation, the mind controls the whole show. The " exercises " are just a mechanism to focus attention, or rather remove attention, from tense muscles. Guest guest
lane lynn Friday, July 15, 2005 4:43 AM Re: [Raw Food] Vision - Eyesight - Bates - Book recommendations Bob. I used to have this book sitting on my coffee table, (at my parents' house). I am going to rummage around next time I am there and see if I can find it. I remember he talked about palming. And also (I believe it was Bates who said this, but I could be wrong), to look upon a scenic beauty once a day at least. On the other hand a " well respected, eye doctor " told me it was bunk. Keep in mind that many " well respected " doctors would tell you that raw food is bunk, so we're probably on to something here:) Lane _____ Doctors, as a group, die younger than any other group (except possibly dentists, can't remember). Doctors are in the disease business. We are not in business, we merely explore, discover, and create health and vitality. If you spend your time and direct your focus where you desire to be, you will arrive, or at least make progress along your journey. Forget the docs! Guest guest
Hi Bob. I may have missed that banana burrito recipe if you posted it here recently, but I was wondering if you have the recipe if you would post it at rawschool? Thanks, Lane
