I was also listening to Tom Quackenbush's talk at the 2001 International Raw Foods Festival, audio. When I got to the park, I sat down and started to palm. Then on the tape he had the people start sketching. Then to close our eyes and sketch an organic lemon, and to follow it off until it landed on a picket fence. Then we were to brush the pickets from left to right with our nose feather. Well, I didn't feel any improvements, so I have a lot more work to do. Decided to check out a couple of yoga videos from the library. One is on relaxation. And I think David Wolfe's book, " Eating For Beauty " has you doing yoga before bedtime. I also have a cataract in my right eye, and ended up with a headache. Lots of good stuff out there. I believe the www.rawfoods.com is the link for the International Raw Foods Festival, held below Portland, OR. Lois, from Yakima, WA _____ Lois, the headache is GOOD news! Your body DID respond to those exercises and/or visualizations. The key now is patience, followed by patience, then patience. Oh, and persistence. That cataract CAN vanish -- keep reading Bate's book. They kicked him off the ophthalmology faculty for it and related teachings, that should tell you something! And that happened a century ago!! But go with Bates, use Quackenbush as an accent piece. Really, this is ALL Bates, all the way. Note of caution: as you begin learning about " natural vision improvement, " as it is now called, you may encounter various teachers who claim that their work goes beyond Bates or the like. RUN AWAY!!! I've talked with numerous such " teachers, " and what I discovered is that only ONE has actually read what Bates wrote AND implemented it fully -- and she is the ONLY one who gets even remotely similar results as his. He had people reading license plates from 2+ blocks away at night!! And she follows Bates religiously, as it were. (She's in the LA area, in Brentwood, if anyone is interested, expensive, but very good.) Best, Elchanan -- ------------------------ [ SECURITY NOTICE ] ------------------------ rawfood , rawschool .
