Guest guest
hello all! WARNING: This is about a work in progress. This is near the beginning of the project...no results available. I'd noticed that I frequently post things " after " they're over, and thought some might enjoy some of my " real-time " meanderings. soo...here's one. Whilst Elchanan and I were chatting and working together the other day, we touched upon eyesight. Elchanan suggested that rather than fasting to attempt to regain better eyesight, that I might want to read Dr. Bates' original material. sooo...off I went...the mission was a little more complicated, since the book is out of print, and was published in 1920. I tried my usual - the public Library, Amazon.comk, and then what I call my " online " library - http://www.soilandhealth.org -none of these had it.. I did find one that my local (really local, within a mile of my house) library had that looked very interesting by Thomas R. Quackenbush, titled " Relearning to See - Improve your Eyesight - Naturally! " -- so I called the local librarian, had her pull it for me, and I went over to get it..it's quite the tome at >500pp. So far, I'm up to p. 118, and I'd rate it very good to excellent. what I was looking for was: " The Cure of Imperfect Sight by Treatment Without Glasses (aka: Perfect Sight Without Glasses) by W.H. Bates, M.D.' I thought...hmm..what else can I do...? soo... I sent an email to the www.soilandhealth.org " librarian " , asking if he knew where I could get it, and sure enough he did! (and, he responded very quickly - such a deal: for a few bucks, my " own " online librarian! lol!) very nice, indeed. He said while he didn't have it, he pointed me to the online link where they did have it, as follows: (and note, that once you get there, you can either read it in web html format, or download it in PDF format (my fav!, next to a real book! lol!) http://www.iblindness.org/books/bates/ fascinating stuff. In the whole realm of Nature, Healing, Living, etc....I've decided to now work on improving my vision, (since I've keenly observed that I'm not seeing any animals wild in nature with glasses....hmmm... and maybe even eliminating these glasses I've had for maybe 42 years....and here we gooo.. hope others find this of interest. fascinating stuff: really.... and, not surprisingly, it's *nothing* like what our optometrists/opthamalogists tell us! all the best, Bob ps - I've taken the liberty of also sticking this in the " files " section over on RawSchool.
