I have been aware of and working with my unconscios thoughts (sponsoring

thoughts) greatly lately and am begining to see how strongly they do

infuence our reality.

 

There is a wonderful story that I think illustrates this concept:

 

Two men get off a train in a city. The first man walks up to a stranger and

says, " excuse me, what are the people like in this city? "

The stranger asks in reply, " what were the people like in the city you have

arrived from? "

 

To this the first man answeres, " oh they are all a mean lot. They are rude

and inconsiderate and selfish. "

 

The stranger replies, " well, I'm afraid you will find the people in this

city are quite the same. "

 

After the first man walks off, the second man approches the stranger with

the same question, " what are the people like in this city? "

 

Again the stranger answeres with the question, " how did you find the people

in the city you have arrived from? "

 

To this the second man replies, " oh they are a wonderful people, full of

kindness and love for one another. "

 

The stranger then answeres, " well sir, you will find the people of this city

the same. "

 

What we perceive is often so much a reflection of our expectations. It is a

wonderful experience to begin to consciously change those expectations and

witness our perception of reality change as a result.
