Appendix (WAS: barium and cat scan)

I seem to recall reading (a very long time ago) a data sheet of

research carried out by John Coleman (a chemist and rawfooder).

I think he wrote that, in rats, the appendix is used as a storage for

B12. I may be misremembering the data, but what an interesting

idea if the appendix had a use after all.

The appendix DOES perform important functions. The idea that Nature puts

something in our structure for no reason is an imbecilic notion of the

medical " profession. "

 

Example: the appendix secretes a substance that serves both as lubricant and

antiseptic. This substance enters the digestive tube right around the

intersection of the ileum (end of the small intestine) and the beginning of

the ascending colon, and also where the cecum intersects. All this occurs in

the vicinity of the ileo-cecal valve, which is the gateway from the small to

the large intestine (colon).

 

That the medical profession, when it did not yet understand any function for

the appendix, had the arrogance to presume that there WAS no function, is a

testament to the quality of their " model " of disease. But their " thinking, "

if it be called such, has nothing at all to do with any constructive

approach toward anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, or health.
