Guest guest
Hey all, I'm betting you all might have some good suggestions. I have used lots of lotions, I don't know how vegetarian they are, but they include Aveeno, Udder cream, Eucerin, Hemp Chavre, Moonflower. But my feet are still very rough and sometimes cracked. The woman I bought the Hemp Chavre from said you have to let it soak in, not put socks on right away or else it just soaks into your socks. that makes sense. but, does anyone have a favorite skin cream? Guest guest
I have a Shea scrub upstairs. I'll have to try that one again too. And what Deanna suggested too. I don't have carpet, so I don't have to worry about that, but I am terrible about going barefoot on the driveway. My pumice stone is about worn out. Well, I don't have to worry about a future career as a foot model....AMyf
Guest guest
I love Olive Oil and Miracle Oil http://www.thewoman.com/Products/miracle_oil.htm You can buy Miracle Oil in most health food stores. It is really an amazing product. Olive oil is also.. Also I sometimes use Pure Vit. E oil (it is an oil in a bottle near the vitamins, and not in a capsule) mixed together in my hand with aloe vera gel. I massage these products in all over my body and when I add it to my feet, I do put on sock immediately after massaging in well. That way it doesn't leave a residue on my carpet and I feel it doesn't rub off that way. You know those spa treatments they do on your hands they always massage in oils and cover with cotton gloves and it really does help. Guest guest
-Amy, I have found that coconut or olive oil works best for my feet. I take advantage of the time when I am sitting down to massage my feet with one of these oils then put on a thin cotton sock. I love to go barefoot but it is not good for your feet except on grass or clean dirt. Not kidding here. Nothing like feeling Earth Energy with your bare feet on the dirt or grass. Don't go barefoot on carpet. The fibers can actually make tiny cuts on the bottom of your feet. Give your feet a good soak in a warm bath of Epsom salts. Rinse dry and use a pumice stone or fine emery board to smooth away those cracks. Sometimes I put the oil on my feet before bedtime..If you are overly concerned about a possible stain wear those cotton socks to bed. I also put baby powder in my shoes, even my sandles because I think it keeps my feet from perspiring. I also make a bee's wax balm with comfry that I apply to my feet if they seem to be getting too dry. Remember too Keep hydrated in this hot weather. Smiles and hugs. Guest guest
I find that the only way to really keep my heels into shape is to wear socks and shoes. Having said that, I like shea butter - either pure shea or whipped shea. I like to make lotions and, yes, they are vegetarian. I make them for swaps and friends - too much hassle to sell them. But I don't think any lotion can perform that much of a miracle on cracked heels. Shea butter comes the closest, with cocoa butter close behind. Guest guest
I really recommend wearing cotton socks and tennis shoes. I think it really helps your feet stay in good shape moisture wise and well support for reducing any foot pain. Guest guest
One thing thatworks especially well is put castor oil on feet. Put a plastic bag on feet. Put a sock over bag and go to sleep. Use pumice stone on feet in morning when taking shower. GB , akfral wrote: > > Hey all, I'm betting you all might have some good suggestions.
