I would love to hear it Jeanne- I have rather weak hands- but love to make

bread by hand. I don't like bread machine breads- or the ones I have had

anyway- cos I prefer a chewy crusty bread that one can only get from hands

and a REAL oven.........but that *was* years ago and technology and methods

may have changed for bread machines...... nevertheless i do not have one and

would love to hear what you have to share onthe old fashioned art of love

and effort into a loaf of bread. :)

I remember one episode of Jamie Oliver's show where he kissed the loaf of

bread that he had made- it really made me well up with joy inside- he loved

his family and the people he was making that bread for and it was his

tradition to kiss it. Really neat.

You're welcome to contact me off list if you would rather,

You can get a crustier bread by putting a small pot with water in it when

you are baking the bread. This is how to get a hard crust on French or

Italian bread.
