OT: Rant of the day: vegetarian diet diagnosed POOR?

Ya wanna know what is really neat? Two years ago my husband was in renal

(kidney) failure because of one of the meds they had him on. Yepperoo, now they

want him eating meat and nothing but meat, lots of bacon and fats and eggs. Lots

and lots. Oh I Do Not Think So. Medical care down here is still stuck in the

last quarter of the last century.

 

Would you believe I had to fight with the doctor's office AND my insurance to

get the usual female exams and dexascan? Also, despite a loss of 3 inches in

height and demonstrable bone loss, I STILL cannot get put on the osteoporosis

drugs. Why? I'm not " old " enough at 57.

 

I just loooooove the system. But if I have to drag the old " millitant

activist " persona outta the closet, I will. They can " dis " me, but no way am I

letting them get away with this mess with my husband. After 40 years together,

we work too well as a team to even think about the other half not being there.

 

Besides, I'm rather fond of the old goat
