Aw bless you, Sara. That was all many years ago and my dad is now 85

and has a wife who does all the cooking for him, which is a shame as

his lemon sorbet was exceptional and his fruit cakes came out better

than mine!

Sadly a lot of people find themselves in a similar position to the

woman you mentioned or to my dad. He had never even boiled an egg -

so I taught him all my good vegetarian recipes, LOL.

Awww, that's wonderful that he found another love. <3 I'm also glad to see

that he was open-minded to cooking vegetarian. So many people are like, " What?

Heck no! " LOL.

Yes, unfortunately, many people do end up in that situation...it's amazing

though, the will of human strength. When in times of desperation, we learn to

do things that we never thought we would, or never thought we'd have to learn

how to do. Amazing. :-)

PS: Get ahold of those recipes for Lemon Sorbet and Fruit Cake, if you

haven't already posted them on the site, hehe. ;-) :-p

I think it took the poor chap quite a while to realise that he was

on the road to becoming a vegetarian - I've never cooked meat so I

could only teach him vegetarian cooking. Sadly he has recovered now

and is no longer one of the vegetarian members of the family!
