Guest guest
Eat your greens..collards, spinach, mustard, kale...add it to salads, or to other dishes. Also, drink some V-8 to help with veggie consumption (add some ice cubes, pepper, even a celery stick, and pretend you are having a 'bloody mary " ....:-) ..nice drink, but not too close to the 'puter. Hello There, I cannot help with the Bi-Polar but if suffer from Anemia you can certainly go to a health food store and buy some dried Stinging Nettle. It is high in Iron. It tastes like spinach and you can use it like salt, that is, sprinkle about a Tablespoon into each meal - like an additional flavouring. I use it in rice alot - my partner just loves it ( kind of unusual for a man to love something that is good for him). After you have cooked your rice fluff it up with a fork and put a generous amount if the dried Nettle into it. I also add green onions, chopped and sometimes frozen peas. You can also make a tea from the dried using a teaspoonful per cup - just add boiling water and let steep for 3 minutes then drink. If you can - forage in your area for fresh stinging nettles in the spring if they grow there. They can be steamed just like spinach and while still small do not have the sting in them. Just a suggestion, cheers, Heather in Black Creek B.C. Mary Anne Next-gen email? Have it all with the all-new Mail Beta.
