I've never even seen a gooseberry.

We don't see them in the shops so often these days either. They are

very sharp tasting. I seem to remember that as they age they get

sweeter and more bland. I bought myself a gooseberry bush this year

but I don't know if it will fruit as I am growing it in a container.
