Guest guest
How about subs? Get some rolls from the grocery, put the meatless balls on, add some peppers, marinara, onions, cheese, etc, wrap in foil and heat on grill outside or heat in microwave (minus the foil...cannot imagine why) Or if you feel like something hot in a crockpot, something like Swedish meatballs? Millions of recipes out there, but I like a couple of gingersnaps crumbled in the sauce. Mmm, gingersnaps....... OK, gotta get my mind out of the cookie jar Meatless balls in bbq sauce, cole slaw, corn bread? Meatless balls shish kabob? Small potato roll, one meatless ball inside, usual condiments for burgerless burgers? Now I'm hungry, 'ta ya'll. Jeanne in Georgia See the all-new, redesigned .com. Check it out. Guest guest
I was recently helping out in the Kitchen in at our church camp. One night we made Italian " meatball " Sub sandwiches. They were a huge hit. We used Worthington Tender Rounds. We drained them and then put them in Marinara Sauce and baked them in the oven. You could bake them together in the microwave. We then spooned the Marinara sauce and Tender Rounds combo onto the sub roll and sprinkled with Mozerella Cheese, which we put together on the serving line. They were sooooooooo good. As always save the gravy that comes in the can with these Tender Rounds and freeze in a ziplock back to add to soup for a delicious soup stock later on. To complete the meal we served the with a spinach artichoke dip and tortilla chips on the side. The spinach artichoke dip was the frozen one the Stoffer's makes. It is really good. You just had to add the frozen bag of dip to boiling water for a few minutes and it was ready. Here is a link to look at the Worthington Tender Rounds Meatball substitute, http://www.kelloggs.com/cgi-bin/brandpages/product.pl?product=257 & company=41 Enjoy, Judy - treazure noname Friday, July 21, 2006 11:16 AM meatless meat balls serving suggestion How about subs?
