Guest guest
These are cool and refreshing. My kids love making fruit slushes when they have friends over to swim. I like making a less-sweet version by substituting seltzer or club soda for the ginger ale. Fruit Slush Mix 4 cups water 4 cups sugar 1 (6oz) can frozen orange juice concentrate 1/2 cup lemon juice 1 (46oz) can pineapple juice Combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan. Heat until sugar is dissolved. Add orange juice concentrate, lemon juice, and pineapple juice. Fill 6 or 7 ice cube trays. Freeze until firm. Remove cubes from freezer trays and store in freezer bags. Label and date contents. Use within 6 months. Makes about 100 small cubes. Variations: You can add 5 or 6 mashed bananas to mixture before freezing. Also you can play around with different kinds of juice... like cranberry etc. To make a glass of fruit slush, fill a glass with slush cubes and cover with ginger ale. Let it stand for 15 minutes and stir. Garnish with orange wedges or pineapple slice. ~ PT ~ A sacred being cannot be anticipated; it must be encountered. ~ W. H.
