Guest guest Posted July 13, 2006 Report Share Posted July 13, 2006 Scalloped Asparagus 4 c. fresh asparagus, cut in 1-inch pieces 1 1/2 c. milk 2 T. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. grated American cheese 1 c. bread crumbs 2 T. butter Preheat oven to 325-degrees. Cook the asparagus in a little water until tender, and then transfer to a buttered baking dish. Shake the milk, flour, salt, and pepper together until well blended, and add to the baking dish. Add half the cheese and half the bread crumbs. Stir. Adding the remaining cheese and half the remaining bread crumbs, and again stir.
