I never use the boil in the bag rice but the plastic seems a little different from a baggy, still that doesn't mean it's save. Get yourself a little rice cooker, they do perfect rice and you don't have to wait for the water to boil and there's no plastic bag invloved, bulk rice is very inexpensive too.
